We understand, acknowledge and respect each individual’s right to privacy. We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of information provided by our patients, as well as general users of our website.

Personal information privacy on our site

We do not ask for personal identification for any user of our site, nor do we collect it, without a site user’s knowledge. All personal information collected from our website is done so in a secure form and the information is not stored for longterm use.

Forms & Surveys

In order to add you to our e-mailing list you must voluntarily subscribe and may unsubscribe at any time.

Personal information will be required for scheduling, but will only be accessible by Busy Moms Healthcare (BMH) employees. All point of sale (POS) payments taken in the office or via phone are run through a secure accredited payment-processing service (Clover) and BMH pays % fee to Clover to ensure the credit card information is protected. Credit card information for is optionally stored in our electronic health record (AthenaHealth), which patients can opt-in to, and will be processed through an accredited payment-processing service (Elavon).

We do not provide any information supplied on our web forms to any outside organization for any reason, nor will we add you to our mailing list, unless the user voluntarily subscribes.

In addition, we do not share any personally identifiable information with others, unless we must provide information for legal purposes or investigations, or if so directed by you – the user – through a proper authorization.

We periodically review and modify our security policies and procedures. We use reasonable care to protect your personally identifiable and confidential information provided by you to our site. Check here often for our current practices.

Your Responsibilities for Information Security

Though we take precautions to protect your information on our website, there are many ways that cyber criminals can gather your personal information through your Internet connection. You must use appropriate caution to protect your PC or mobile device and to use only secure wireless connections when you transmit confidential information. There are numerous respected websites that explain appropriate precautions that you need to take to ensure the security of your information and your devices.

You assume the risk for transmitting your personal identification, financial or other information over the Internet.

Email

We will not ask for personal information via email and request that you do not send health information through the “Contact Us” portion of the website. The goal of a “phishing” email is to ask you for your personal information while disguised as a trusted source, such as a bank, a software vendor or maybe even as a hospital or other healthcare provider.

If you receive an email that looks like it is from BMH or one of our affiliated services, which asks for your personal information, do not respond. We will never request your password, user name, credit card information or other personal information through email.

Password-Restricted Online Access

There is a link to our electronic health record patient portal on our website. When you do, you take full responsibility to protect your user-id and password to prevent its use by others. All medical and billing questions should go through the secure AthenaHealth patient portal and not through the website contact form.

Health & Medical Information

The information provided on our site includes health content that may be useful to help you learn about or manage a particular illness or condition, but is not meant to take the place of appropriate medical attention.  Consult your healthcare provider whenever you have questions or concerns about your health.

BMH utilizes AthenaHealth for all telehealth services. This platform is HIPPA compliant and the information is not recorded in any way. If you choose to participate in a lactation consult outside of this program (ie. FaceTime, Zoom or Skype) you are voluntarily taking the risk of a breach of privacy.
